Is it possible for me to prevent a patient from receiving a text or e-mail in the future?

Yes, you can choose to send only text messages, or just e-mails, or both. In addition, if a patient contacts your office and asks to be removed from future notifications, your staff can fully customize what, if any, types of notifications that patient will receive.

When you set up your AGD Patient Alerts account the system will default to send e-mails and text messages to all patients

If you need to edit the text message options you will need to log into your AGD Patient Alerts Account

1. Option one is have text messages "on" for all patients. This is the default setting.

2. Option two, If a patient requests not to receive text message you can turn text messages off for that one patient.

Log into your AGD Patient Alerts Account
Select the patients tab on the left of the screen.
Search for the patients name by first or last name (remember the name needs a capital letter in the search bar)
When you find the patient click on the patients name or click view (on the right of the screen)
Click the “Notifications Preference” tab
Select the notifications that you want that patient to receive
Click “Update”
That’s it, you’re done.

3. Option three, turn text messages off for all patients and as patients tell you they want to receive text messages (opt-in) you can turn text messages on for that patients

Log into your AGD Patient Alerts Account
Select the patients tab on the left of the screen.
Click the "Disable Text Msg" button.
This will turn text messages off for all patients

As patients tell you they want to receive text messages you can turn the feature on for one patient at a time.

Select the patients tab on the left of the screen.
Search for the patients name by first or last name (remember the name needs a capital letter in the search bar)
When you find the patient click on the patients name or click view (on the right of the screen)
Click the “Notifications Preference” tab
Select "yes" for text messages
Click “Update”
That’s it, you’re done.

4. Option four allows you to turn text messages off for a unique service e.g. if you do not want to send text messages to patients on their birthdays.

To do this you need to

1. Log into AGD Patient Alerts account
2. Click the "Birthday's" tab
3. Click "Configure Delivery Service"
4. Click the "Disable" button for "Text Messaging Delivery Service"
Now text messages are turned off for birthdays for all patients (regardless of any other settings). Patients will receive Birthday emails (unless you disable that feature).
5. You can do this for most services e.g. Appointment Reminders, Re-care etc

EagleSoft preference

Post  sfd on Mon Mar 22, 2010 11:05 am

EagleSoft has a preference on the patient chart to receive text messages or not. Is there a way for AGDPatientAlerts to pick up that preference and set accordingly for each individual?

Sorry, there is not. Keep in mind if a patient clicks "Unsubscribe" in the email the system will automatically opt them opt and you do not have to do anything.

If a patient chooses not to receive text messages you will need to go into their account and turn them off for text messages.
