Question - When we add our patient’s email address into Practice Management Software, it doesn’t seem to update the patient information in our AGD Patient Alerts, is there something wrong with AGD Patient Alerts?

No, there is nothing wrong with AGD Patient Alerts. Here's how it works. The short answer is AGD Patient Alerts will update to the most recent patient email contact information, it just does not update immediately.

If a patient comes in today or calls you today with their new email address, please enter it into your Practice Management Software immediately. AGD Patient Alerts will update to the new email address. This update my happen at one of the following times

When AGD Patient Alerts next has to communicate with the patients to remind them of their next

1. Appointment,
2. Re-care
3. Dormant reactivation
4. Birthday greeting


AGD Patient Alerts only pulls the updated patient information when it is time to contact and communicate with that patient. This way we always have the most up to date contact information.

On day one when you start with AGD Patient Alerts we do a complete export of your active patients into AGD Patient Alerts.

On a daily basis AGD Patient Alerts integrates with your PMS to pull the applicable data to send reminders, re-care, birthday greetings etc.

Joe patient is in your PMS and in AGD Patient Alerts. Joe patient comes into your office today for an appointment and Joe patient updates his contact information with you. The updated information is now in your PMS but not in AGD Patient Alerts.

AGD Patient Alerts does not update Joe patient contact information until we next need to communicate with Joe patient e.g. when it comes to his next appointment we then pull his new data and update AGD Patient Alerts. We update patient information on an as needed basis.
